Bay of Fundy - Update
A world wonder in our own backyard ? The Bay of Fundy was one of five Canadian sites competing to participate in the International New 7 Wonders of Nature contest. Voting ended December 31st. The top Canadian site continues on to represent Canada in the 2009 phase of the international competition. Home to the world's highest tides, a diverse ecosystem, and significant geological treasures, the Bay was the only site from the Maritime Provinces selected to compete in this international competition. With a billion tons of water moving in and out of the bay twice a day Nova Scotia property owners along these shores enjoy a forever changing view as the ocean seems to appear and then disappear with water levels varying as much as 54 feet from high tide to low tide. Our amazing Bay of Fundy lost to Alberta's Donosaur Park.
